MONDAY 19 JANUARY 2026 - SECRETS OF THE CITY CIRCLE WALKING TOUR


$25-00 per person excluding transport costs. Minimum 20 people. Meet @ 9-45am for 10am Tour @ Platform 1 Central Station This unique tour uncovers the hidden stories, quirky history, and surprising secrets of Sydney’s iconic City Circle train loop. We explore each station’s design, forgotten features, and fascinating tales — Starting/End Point: Central Station Platform 1 Duration: Approximately 3 hours Style: Hop-on, hop-off format visiting all City Circle stations Walking Level: Minimal walking outside stations (some stairs involved) Transport: You’ll need an Opal or contactless debit/credit card to tap on/off trains. Payment can be made either by direct deposit to the Probus Westpac Account or directly to the bank account via any Westpac branch supplying the BSB and account details. FRIDAY 20 FEBRUARY 2026 - CROQUET DAY


This is an annual event at Strathfield Croquet Club 50 Redmyre Road Strathfield. Arrive at 9-15am for 9-30 start. This outing is capped at 16 and you must be on the list as the club needs to organise volunteers for the morning. The games are followed by morning tea/lunch (depending on how much you eat).


Cost is $15-00 for the day which covers equipment hire, lesson, game and refreshments. Please put your name on the waiting list just in case someone has to pull out. Payment due in cash to Nancy at General Meeting February 12th 2026.

PREMIERS CONCERT: - Wednesday 11 March 2026 - 2:45pm–4:30pm


At the International ICC Sydney Theatre, Convention Centre (ICC), Darling Harbour and runs for approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes including a short intermission. We have again been successful in acquiring tickets for this event, but we are restricted to 20.


The sign-up sheet is on the sign-up table and it is first come first served. There is a waiting list also so please place your name so you can be contacted if anyone pulls out before the day. This is a free event and you are advised to get to the Convention Centre as least 1 hour before the commencement of the concert as there are a lot of people and the concert starts on time whether you are seated or not. As yet we have not been advised of who the entertainment is but I will keep you informed.

MEMBERS ONLY ANNUAL BBQ @ GALSTON RESERVE – THURSDAY 19 MARCH 2026.


Our BBQ will be held regardless of the weather as the picnic area is under shelter. There is fixed seating attached to the sides of the picnic tables. You may prefer to bring your chairs or cushions as the seats are hard! Directions: Turn right off Old Northern Road (after the overbridge and Flower Power) into Galston Road. The Reserve is several kms along on the left, just past Galston High School which is on the right. The picnic area is at the end of the reserve area just past the Aquatic Centre and a slight bend in the road. Drive along driveway and there is plenty of free parking at the end near the picnic area.
