As I was unable to attend the walk from John Street Wharf to Sydney Olympic Park, the walk was cancelled due to insufficient numbers. After a lot of thought and the fact that I have been hosting this group since February 2023, it is time for me to step down and let some new blood take over. I have had a lot of ongoing hip problems for a while and have been unable to look at new and interesting walks. I am hoping that someone will be willing to take over this group as I would hate to see it fold. If you are interested in taking over, I am more than happy to meet and hand over all the paraphernalia I have, which includes past walks and dates they were done, maps of walks I have been unable to suss out and of course the one put off several…
The walk on June 3rd was from Carlingford to Rosehill Bowling Club. It was a very pleasant day for a walk and whilst not all of us completed the whole walk, it was nice to be able to catch the light rail back, rather than holding up all those that went before. I must admit it seemed a lot longer this time than the last time I did it two years ago. The lunch at the Bowling Club was also delicious, even though one of us did not have much luck with their first two orders, however a great day was had by all. Thanks to all who attended.
