The Winsmead Readers Book Club meets at the Constitution Hill branch of Parramatta library at 10.00 am on the fourth Friday monthly. The library staff selects our books from suggestions we give them. Our last book was “The French Agent” by Belinda Alexandra, and we gave it 7.5/10. It was about how the Second World War effected individuals and families in Europe and Australia. An interesting book.

The book we are reading at present is “The French Agent” by Belinda Alexandra set partly in Sydney. It demonstrates that the repercussions of war last for generations.

The Winsmead Readers Book Club meets at the Constitution Hill branch of Parramatta library at 10.00 am on the fourth Friday monthly. The library organises the books for us using our suggestions. At our last meeting we returned “A Death in Cornwall”, by Daniel Silva. It was a very complicated story of intrigue and complicated art dealings. It was not popular with our group.

The book we received at our most recent meeting is “Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow” by Gabrielle Zevin. This book is about making computer games by a small group of young people and what happens to them along the way. The Library staff have asked us to give them a précis of our latest book to be included on the council’s website.
