The Winsmead Readers Book Club meets at the Constitution Hill branch of Parramatta library at 10.00 am on the fourth Friday monthly. The library staff selects our books from suggestions we give them. Our last book was “The French Agent” by Belinda Alexandra, and we gave it 7.5/10. It was about how the Second World War effected individuals and families in Europe and Australia. An interesting book.
The current Book is “The Ledge”, by Christian White. Have you ever read a book that you just have to read and you can’t put down. You also continue to think about the characters when you finish reading, well that is this book. It keeps you guessing and when you think you have the answer then you have to re-think it. It will be interesting to find out what the whole group thinks about this book. We will find out when we next meet on Friday 24th of October.
